Covington, GA: On May 2, 2016, Lendmark Financial Services, LLC completed the acquisition of 127 branch offices and related loan assets from Springleaf Financial. Springleaf divested the branches as a condition of its acquisition of OneMain Financial.
Lendmark expanded its geographic presence into Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Ohio, Texas, Washington and California with the transaction and now operates coast-to-coast in 20 states with over 300,000 customers. The acquisition solidifies Lendmark as a leader in the consumer finance industry and supports the company’s overall strategy of being the Lender of Choice, Employer of Choice, and Partner of Choice.
“Since this deal was announced, both Lendmark and Springleaf have been working tirelessly together to meet the May close date. To make the experience for the employees and customers as seamless as possible, we wanted all 127 locations to transition at one time. Completion of the transaction was subject to satisfying a number of customary closing conditions, including obtaining landlord contents and lease assignments, approval of the state licensing authorities in the states where the acquired branches are located, and systems development.
In order to support the new geographic footprint, Lendmark will be creating various centralized facilities, operations centers and employment opportunities that will enable the company to effectively and efficiently serve customers, branches, and merchants across the country.
